Saturday with Oliver

Austin!

I love Austin and I think he is so funny! He got asked to preference and of course all the girls in the family were there to check everything out. I was taking pictures and I am so nosey I even tried to get one through the blinds! Austin was such a good sport as we were all talking, taking pictures and embarrassing him, I am sure! I love his date's dress!! They rode in a Hummer limo and went to the Cheesecake Factory...so much fun.

I have decided that I am going to start posting my favorite recipes as part of my blog...just when I have nothing else interesting to say.

Here is my first one

Fruit Pizza

2 tubes refrigerator cookie dough (off brand works best)
1 8 oz. cream cheese softened
1 container cool whip (regular size)
3/4 cup powder sugar
fresh blueberries
fresh strawberries (sliced)
fresh peaches (sliced)
fresh kiwi (sliced)

Press cookie dough in a large cookie sheet. Bake according to package directions, plus 10 minutes. Let cool. Beat cream cheese and powder sugar with hand beater, add cool whip and beat with hand mixer. Spread on top of sugar cookie and top with fresh fruit.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss was born on March 2, 1904. We are celebrating his birthday this week in preschool. Today we read Cat in the Hat and we are going to read Green Eggs and Ham next time. We are not reading it in preschool, but my all time favorite book by Dr. seuss is The Star Belly Sneetches. I actually made a star belly sneetch window sticker in my screen printing class in high school. Fun Times!

"Now, the Star-Bell Sneetches had bellies with stars.
The Plain-Belly Sneetches had none upon thars.
Those stars weren’t so big. They were really so small.
You might think such a thing wouldn’t matter at all."

Trip to Idaho

I went to Idaho on Thursday, February 7th. My friend Kristin was getting married in Idaho Falls on Friday morning. We got stuck in Tremonton, UT because the winds were so bad they closed the highway in Idaho. We stayed overnight in Tremonton and then got up really early to make it to the Idaho Falls temple in time for the sealing (I was too tired to care about my hair and makeup as evidenced in the pictures below). If I look cold, miserable and windblown in the pictures it is a direct reflection of how I felt for 3 days straight. I have never seen so much snow and been so cold. It was all worth it...I love my friend Kristin and it was so fun to see her on her wedding day ( I included a picture of her dress because I LOVE IT!)

I was so glad to have my earmuffs!

I forgot to mention that I left all of my shoes home including my boots so I am actually wearing leggings and hideous brown shoes without socks because I forgot my socks too!

Still Cold!

I love her dress! She married the greatest guy, Scott. I am so happy for them!

The Rexburg Temple is amazing! It us up on a hill. It was goregous but windy and cold. Visiting the temple was the coldest part of the trip. I could not survive at BYU Idaho.

This is the Rexburg Temple sign...you can't see it because of all the snow and wind.
