More Georgia and South Carolina Pictures

My FAVORITE moment in Savannh, GA was this specific event at Paula Deen's restaurant. To get a reservation you have to start lining up at 8:30 am. We stood in line, got our lunch reservation and then had hours to kill. We were paying for a trolley tour across the street from Paula's restaurant at 11:00 am. This is when they take the first lunch reservation. Everyone gathers across the street and this adorable little lady comes out and starts to holler "Are you ready to eat?" and she keeps saying it louder and louder and ringing her triangle. She got the crowd so hyped! We saw this same lady making bread when we went in for lunch. On our way out, we asked to have our picture with her. After the picture, I asked her name. She said, "Well, my name's Anita but everyone calle me Jellyroll!" Oh my goodnes, I loved it!

Alisa, Melinda's sister is the lighthouse expert. It was so much fun to have her on the trip. One of the main reasons she wanted to go to Hilton Head was to see the lighthouse. We found out from the hotel that the famous lighthouse was fake. It was never a real lighthouse, just built as a tourist attraction. It took us awhile to get to the lighthouse because there was a PGA tournament there that weekend. We got confused driving there and got lost. I actually got out of the car somewhere in Sea Pines and walked into a beach side retirement party and asked a litte old lady for directions. When we finally arrived at the lighthouse and it was pretty dark. I called my dad to tell him about PGA tournament. Being the golf expert that he is, he already knew and he told me to check out the lighthouse in Harbor Town. Funny thing, we were already there! It was too dark so we took pictures with this smaller version of the lighthouse.

This was the best thing we did in Hilton Head, SC, besides laying out for 5 hours!

Of course, I had my big pink purse with me that I had to balance on my handle bars for the entire ride.

I loved this beach! I could not believe all of the seashells and jellyfish on the sand!

My first time at a major league baseball game! Turner field in Atlanta was so much fun!

It was so nice inside! I loved watching the game and all of the people around us!

This picture reminds me of how lucky we were to get into Paula Deen's restaurant on our first try. This picutre was after we ate dinner. I am so glad we were able to get in for dinner and lunch because the menu is different depending on the meal.

We had a lot of luggage! We had to haul it to and from 4 different hotel rooms.

One of the prettiest places in Savannah, GA is Forsyth park. The fountain was amazing!

I love this little guy! His name is Jacobi. His mom works in the office at the Wormsloe Plantation. He was so friendly and so much fun! We paid our enterance fee here and this is where Melinda told me she saw them selling TICK REMOVERS...girls camp flashback!

This is the enterance to Wormsloe Plantation. The trees are amazing! This picture does not do it justice.

This is the red bird, in the tree, on the nature hike, on the plantation grounds. We were trying to get a picture of this bird and some hawks flying above and all I could think the whole time was "We need to get out of here we are going to get a TICK!" Then, while taking pictures I was chased by a big furry bumble bee. Those of you who know me and my fear of bees will not be surpirsed to hear that I said a cuss word and ran off. I was ready to head back!

The parking in Savannah is limited. We got this parking spot first thing in the morning but you could only pay for 1.5 hours at a time so we kept going back to renew our parking. It was a cold, early morning and if you can't tell by the picture I am not a morning person, but it was worth it to get our lunch reservation.
